Five-Day Online Faculty Development Program on "Curriculum Development Aligned with NEP 2020" Chandigarh School of Business at CGC Jhanjeri, successfully organized a comprehensive five-day online Faculty Development Program (FDP). The program, titled "Curriculum Development Aligned with NEP 2020," was conducted in collaboration with the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training & Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh. This initiative aimed to equip faculty members with the skills and knowledge needed to align curriculum development with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 guidelines. This FDP was conducted in collaboration with the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training & Research, Chandigarh. The successful execution of the program has opened avenues for potential future collaborations and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with NITTTR to conduct similar FDPs, ensuring continuous professional development for faculty members. Event Highlights: The inaugural ceremony was graced by the Dean of Management, who warmly welcomed all participants and commended the faculty members for their dedication to professional development. Dr. Meenakshi Sood, Professor at NITTTR Chandigarh, delivered an insightful lecture on Curriculum Design, followed by Prof. P.S. Grover's detailed presentation on the Curriculum Design Process and Bloom's Taxonomy. Dr. Meenakshi Sood continued her series with a lecture on Outcome-Based Education. Dr. Sanjeev Sofat, Professor at PEC Chandigarh, elaborated on Curriculum Development and Implementation, while Ms. Anuradha Chawla focused on creating an optimal learning environment and supporting the holistic development of students. Dr. Sood provided a historical perspective on Education Policies in India. Dr. B.S. Pabla discussed the key insights of NEP, and Dr. Jyotirmoy Dutta from UDIX, IISC Bangalore, addressed the interplay of technology and education under NEP 2020. Dr. Meenakshi Sood initiated the day with a session on Restructuring the Curriculum Framework for Higher Education as per NEP 2020. Dr. Jyotirmoy Dutta talked about transforming academic-industry linkages, and Dr. Preetha shared her expertise on the Curriculum and Credit Framework for Undergraduate Programs. The final day featured Prof. P.S. Grover's lecture on the practical implementations of NEP and fostering employability skills. The program concluded with a valedictory function, marking the successful end of the FDP. The FDP provided an enriching platform for faculty members to enhance their curriculum development skills. Participants gained deep insights into various aspects of curriculum design, implementation, and the integration of technology in education as outlined in NEP 2020.
